Welcome to Yuann ("the App"), operated by the Yuann team. By creating an account, signing in, or using the App, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Membership Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the App immediately.
Using diary content for AI analysis requires separate, explicit authorization under the AI Diary Analysis Notice before you use that feature. It may not be bundled with registration agreements in a single checkbox.
【Definitions】
• VIP Member: includes paid subscription members and members granted through check-in/activity rewards;
• AI Analysis Service: features that rely on third-party large language models to process diary text and generate emotion insights and report content;
• Sensitive Personal Information: text in your diary that reflects emotions, psychology, or personal life records.
The data controller for this App is the Yuann team, located in mainland China. This team is solely responsible for all data compliance matters.
Yuann is a personal diary and mood-tracking application. Main features include: handwritten/text diaries, mood tags and statistics, consecutive check-in achievements, invite-a-friend rewards, cloud sync, member-exclusive AI emotion deep analysis, and emotion reports such as weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly reports (some require membership).
You may register and sign in using supported methods such as Google or phone number. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must safeguard your devices and login credentials. Registering multiple accounts to farm check-ins, farm invites, or obtain membership benefits is prohibited. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact yuannteam@gmail.com immediately.
【Ownership】You retain copyright in handwritten diaries, mood notes, images, and other content you create.
【Limited License】To provide storage, display, cloud sync, AI emotion analysis, and weekly/monthly/yearly reports and related services, you grant Yuann a non-exclusive, revocable license to process your content only as necessary to provide the service. This license ends for the corresponding processing when you delete your account or lawfully withdraw authorization (except where otherwise required by law).
After authorization ends, you may export your cloud diaries on your own. Cloud diaries not exported within the applicable period will be cleared as part of the account deletion process.
You must not upload or store the following:
• Other people's medical records, ID documents, contact details, or other private information without authorization;
• Content that may endanger personal safety, such as incitement to violence, self-harm/suicide instructions, or extreme depression inducement;
• Illegal, infringing, pornographic, harassing, or malicious content.
If we discover such content, we may warn you, restrict features, ban your account, delete or clear related diaries, report to authorities as required by law, and we are not obligated to back up your content.
Using AI to generate illegal, self-harm, or infringing content is also subject to this section.
The App offers a consecutive check-in achievement system. Current tier rules (as shown in the App; we may adjust them lawfully with advance notice) are:
• 7 consecutive days → 3 days VIP gifted
• 15 consecutive days → 5 days VIP gifted
• 30 consecutive days → 8 days VIP gifted
• 90 consecutive days → 15 days VIP gifted
• 180 consecutive days → 20 days VIP gifted
• 270 consecutive days → 25 days VIP gifted
• 365 consecutive days → 30 days VIP gifted
• 450 consecutive days → 30 days VIP gifted
• 540 consecutive days → 30 days VIP gifted
• 630 consecutive days → 30 days VIP gifted
• 720 consecutive days → 30 days VIP gifted
【Broken Streak Rule】If your consecutive check-in streak is interrupted (no check-in on a given day), the count resets to zero. Rewards already claimed are not revoked; you must accumulate days again before reaching the next tier.
Gifted VIP cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred, or redeemed for money. See the Membership Terms for details.
The maximum gifted VIP duration for any single achievement tier shall not exceed 180 days; we may adjust tiers but will not exceed this cap.
New users may receive a membership trial after registration (subject to activity rules). Your friend must enter your invite code within 72 hours of registration for both parties to receive additional membership days (currently 15 days each, as shown in the App). Each account may bind another person's invite code only once. Fake invites, fraudulent reward claims, multi-account farming, and similar abuse are prohibited.
Membership duration obtained through invite activities is gifted VIP and is subject to all Membership Terms rules on non-cash redemption, non-transferability, non-refundability, and recovery for cheating.
Some advanced features (such as AI deep analysis and full emotion reports) require membership. Membership includes: ① paid subscriptions; and ② VIP gifted through check-in achievements or invite activities. Both types share the same benefits, but refund and cash-out rules differ. See the Membership Terms for details.
【Not Medical Services】The App's AI features only interpret emotions, identify patterns, and generate reports from text in your diary. They are for everyday self-awareness and record-keeping only.
【Must Not Replace Professional Care】AI output cannot replace psychological counseling, psychiatric treatment, medical diagnosis, crisis intervention, or any professional advice. If you are in psychological crisis or feel unwell, contact local emergency services or qualified professionals immediately.
【Large-Model Limitations】Generative AI may produce "hallucinations," bias, or incomplete conclusions. You should view analysis results rationally. The Yuann team is not liable for consequences of relying on AI conclusions for major psychological, medical, financial, or life decisions.
【Compliance】We comply with applicable regulations such as the Interim Measures for the Administration of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services and provide risk notices and content safety management for AI services.
You own the copyright in your handwritten diaries. You may use AI-generated emotion reports and insight text free of charge for personal use. We may use anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you for product improvement and service quality, but we will not sell diary text that can identify you.
You may request account deletion in the App. After deletion completes, we will immediately delete or anonymize your account information and cloud diaries, reports, images, and other data, and recovery is not available. Except as required by law or regulation, cloud diaries and related personal data will be permanently and immediately deleted from production systems, and we will not offer recovery. Limited backup copies will also be cleared promptly and will not be retained externally in identifiable form.
Before deletion, please export any diaries you wish to keep (export is available under Settings → Privacy & Authorization).
We may upgrade, adjust, or discontinue some features and will notify you in advance within a reasonable scope through in-app announcements and similar means. We will try to restore service after interruptions due to maintenance, network issues, force majeure, and the like, but we are not liable for indirect losses.
If we permanently stop operating the App, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance through in-app announcements and your registered email, and provide bulk diary export. Data not exported by the deadline will be fully cleared immediately.
For violations of these Terms, abuse of check-in/invite/payment features, attacks on our systems, or harm to others' rights, we may restrict login, revoke gifted membership, ban accounts, clear data, and similar measures, without refunding consumed gifted benefits. Paid portions are handled under the Membership Terms and app store policies.
For abuse such as farming AI features, bulk diary generation to waste resources, or malicious consumption of compute, we may restrict or disable AI analysis and revoke related membership benefits.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is." The Yuann team is not liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages. Our liability is capped at the total membership fees you paid us directly in the past 3 months (zero for free users). This limitation does not apply to personal injury or major property damage caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
We may revise these Terms and update the version date in the App. Where renewed consent is required by law, we will obtain your explicit consent; otherwise, continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If a dispute arises, the parties will first try to resolve it by email. If negotiation fails, either party may bring suit in the people's court where the operating entity is located. Users outside China may choose to apply mandatory local law where applicable.

These Terms are available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and other languages. Translations are for reference only; if translations conflict, the Simplified Chinese version prevails.
