This AI Diary Analysis Notice is the dedicated authorization document before you use Yuann AI features. Under the Personal Information Protection Law, processing diary text and other sensitive personal information requires your 【separate, explicit, voluntary】 consent. It may not be bundled with registration agreements by default checkbox.
The data controller for this App is the Yuann team, located in mainland China. This team is solely responsible for all data compliance matters.
Before cloud AI analysis is first triggered in the following scenarios, an independent authorization dialog (Agree/Decline) will appear:
• Creating a new diary and choosing "Save with AI Deep Analysis"
• Starting AI emotion analysis or viewing a deep report on a diary detail page (when no analysis result exists yet)
• Other AI report features that require uploading diary text to a large model
When generating monthly/quarterly/yearly reports, only diary text within the report period you select is uploaded; we do not read or upload your entire diary history.
Declining authorization does not affect basic local diary saving and browsing.
You authorize us to temporarily transmit only 【the handwritten/text body of the currently selected single diary entry】 (or diary text within the report period you actively trigger) to Yuann servers and third-party large-model provider Volcengine Doubao for:
• Emotion index and feature extraction
• Single-entry insights and suggestions
• Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly summary analyses you actively trigger
Without your separate consent, we will not use your original diary text for:
① Training or fine-tuning large models;
② Selling, renting, or providing identifiable original text to advertisers;
③ Building advertising user profiles.
AI requests do not include: account password, privacy password, email, phone number, other unselected diary entries, or local diagnostic logs.
Data is transmitted through TLS-encrypted channels. Yuann uses stateless forwarding for AI requests and does not persistently store original diary text on servers for AI purposes.
After a single inference session ends, original diary text temporarily loaded in server memory is cleared immediately. No persistent cache files are created.
AI-generated emotion reports and insights are returned to your device. If you enable member cloud sync, analysis results may be encrypted and stored in the cloud together with diaries for backup, under your control for deletion.
Typically required: signed-in account, valid membership (where the feature requires it), and completion of this dedicated authorization. Authorization records are stored locally on your device. After this notice is updated, you must re-authorize before new cloud analysis.
You may disable AI analysis authorization anytime under Settings → Privacy & Authorization without additional approval. After disabling: this device clears authorization records and will no longer initiate new AI upload or analysis requests.

If a guardian discovers that a minor used AI features without consent, they may contact yuannteam@gmail.com to request deletion of the related account and diary data.
When submitting a request to delete the account and diaries, guardians must also upload proof of guardianship and a valid ID document of the guardian. We use these only for identity verification and delete them immediately after verification is complete.
By authorizing, you clearly understand that diary text will be transmitted through an encrypted channel directly to Volcengine Doubao inference nodes in mainland China for this single AI analysis. Transmission is limited to content authorized for that session. We enable the third party's "do not store" option and do not persistently retain original diary text on the platform or at the large-model provider for AI purposes. Volcengine Doubao will not privately retain, disclose, or reuse your diary content.
If you are in the EU, you may review Volcengine's official Volcengine Ark Large Model Service Platform Special Terms for Volcengine Doubao's full data processing constraints (official link: https://www.volcengine.com/docs/82379/1104498?lang=zh). When activating Doubao inference services, we agreed to that agreement online and strictly follow all constraints on data confidentiality, prohibition on using user original text for model training, destruction of temporary cache, and similar terms. Except for financial payment orders and anonymized logs retained as required by regulators, identifiable diaries and AI text records have no fixed retention period and are cleared immediately upon account deletion or authorization withdrawal.
This Notice is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If a dispute arises, the parties will first try to resolve it by email. If negotiation fails, either party may bring suit in the people's court where the operating entity is located. Users outside China may choose to apply mandatory local law where applicable.
